Friends at Greer! As the hand of life extends gently and firmly out into our future, we are compelled to say good-bye, but we shall always keep in touch with those who have been so patient and tolerant in helping us grow. You have shielded us and given us full and well-rounded lives for which we are most appreciative.
Those who have been at Greer for a long time realize the importance of the responsibilities and underwritten courtesies which should belong to the upperclassmen. Naturally, leadership and high standards are expected of the Senior class. We shall in the future try to make ourselves worthy of the trust that you have placed in us, and in our future work when our thoughts turn back to Greer, we shall be constantly encouraged, remembering the foundations you laid for us.
To those who are following after us, and assuming the responsibilities and standards we have thus far maintained, we wish to extend our warmest support and hope that they will always hold up the high standards set at Greer.
